What you get

  • 50%Half the cost of certified seed of new varieties, up to a per-quintal limit, for 1 hectare.of the cost, at most
  • FreeA crop demonstration on your own field with a kit of inputs from the Agriculture Department.A demonstration on 0.40 to 2.00 hectares of your field with a kit of inputs — certified seed of a new variety, bio-fertilisers, micronutrients, plant protection. The Mission budgets ₹9,000 a hectare for rice, wheat and pulses (₹7,500 for maize and barley varieties and for millets, ₹11,500 for hybrid maize, ₹15,000 for cropping-system demonstrations). You buy the chemical fertiliser yourself.
  • FreeA free minikit of certified seed of a new pulse or millet variety.Free minikit of treated certified seed with bio-fertiliser and a leaflet: 16 kg gram, 8 kg lentil, 4 kg moong, urd or arhar (for at least 0.20 ha); 1.5 kg bajra, 4 kg jowar, ragi or small millets (for at least 0.40 ha).

How to apply

  1. The Mission is run by your district’s Department of Agriculture; ask the District Agriculture Officer which crops and interventions are in this year’s district plan (Structure, 3).
  2. You are identified through the State Farmer Registry with biometric authentication (2.B(iv), 2.C(ix)).
  3. For a demonstration plot you also need a Soil Health Card (1.A(vi)).
