How to apply
- Apply online on the NLM portal nlm.udyamimitra.in (para 5.5).
- The State Implementing Agency checks the application and recommends it to a bank or NCDC for the loan.
- Once the bank sanctions the loan (or, if you fund it yourself, you give a bank guarantee), the State Level Executive Committee forwards the project to the Department.
- The Department’s Project Approval Committee approves it, and SIDBI pays the subsidy through your bank in two instalments.
Documents you need
- Proof of training or experience in the activity, or of trained experts on the project (para 5.3)
- Bank loan sanction with the bank’s project appraisal — or a bank guarantee if self-financed
- Papers for your own or leased land where the unit will be built
- KYC documents
- Proof you can put in at least 10% of the project cost as margin money
